Minnesota replacing Iowa as Nebraska's Thanksgiving Game

We are still playing on Thanksgiving Weekend, folks. It's on Saturday now, not Friday.

Personally, I've never found much charm in the Black Friday game, and always thought it was a relief when it was an away game.  The logistics of getting to those games on a Friday is difficult some years.

I guess we eat varmint as opposed to bird for Thanksgiving.  Time to just beat the crap at whatever shows up at Thanksgiving.  We need to just have the attitude of annihilation!

The Big Ten giving up on trying to make Iowa a "rival" for Nebraska is not falling.  I'd call it a raving success, actually.

I didn't think of it in terms of rivalries, moreso relevant matchups to determine division races. Finishing 3rd, 4th, 3rd, 3rd in West will do that, I guess.

I'm fine being an equal member with an equal say instead of being the school that tells everyone else what to do.

I guess my thought is ... is this really about being "an equal member" ... if so ... fine.  I just think we are irrelevant and are being replaced by the better teams/rivalry.

So we have to rely on the school that nixed the $5 Bits of Broken Chair Trophy to move our game back to Black Friday.

I'm not holding my breath...

If these games are scheduled at the same time as the Michigan/OSU game, I am not spending anymore Thanksgivings in Nebraska. Move the game to Friday.
