I should have clarified, the lovable losers before last year.  I mean, season after season they lost but fans still cheered and bought tickets because they were loyal.

Fair point. I guess my opinion is these young men are trying their hardest.

It comes down to how the coaches prepare them during the week. This is squarely on the coaches. With that said, I wouldn't be surprised if the crowd does boo at halftime.

I agree, and I've never advocated for booing the team, ever - which I guess is a sign of the times. I think most of the players are trying their hardest, although sometimes it just doesn't look like they are.
