What happens when Frost or Trev turns Nebraska down?

Has anyone actually looked at Trev Alberts' resume?  If he wasn't from Nebraska,  fans would be screaming bloody murder if he got hired.

Couple years at a D2 school

5ish years in the Summit League which has no football.  Has never hired a football coach.

Did Nebraska suddenly move to the Mountain West or Conference USA and I've been asleep in a time capsule somewhere?  I get hiring someone with Nebraska ties but this seems ridiculous.

Matt Davison just posted a video about Frost where he told one player he looked like he was sleeping in a beanbag chair and another that the player needs to "go get his a$$!" I couldn't get an accurate gauge on how that affected their on field performance but it was pretty inspiring.

maybe he would get rid of the football program in Lincoln, too.  It would save alot of bxxching and complaining.  Bet we get hockey tho.

Probably accounted for at least 14 points.

Imagine this scenario: Tennessee fires Butch Jones sometime in October (heck, maybe today). And behind the scenes, the Vols start pursuing replacements, including Scott Frost.

Meanwhile in Lincoln, the Huskers -- still without a full-time athletic director until November -- manage a 7-5 season. Good enough for Riley to stay another year.

And Frost, the native son who's supposedly waiting on Nebraska's phone call? He takes $4 million a year from the program he beat in the '98 Orange Bowl.

That scenario would drive (some) Husker fans crazy, but it's absolutely possible.

The writing is on the wall for Riley and his future here. Sure lets say he wins 7 or 8 games this year and its enough to validate a return for next season. The guy isn't getting us anywhere in the near future, and eventually whether he comes back next year or not we are rebuilding with a new coach within the next 5 years. (Riley will be nearing 70 then.)

Frost has UCF at #16 now when just 2 years ago that team was winless. Winless. His first year he takes them to a bowl game and this year he very well wins a conference championship and currently has them at #16. Writing on the wall Nebraska. We are in year 3 and "rebuilding" with the current staff, a rebuild after 2 years of some rebuilding. Why is Nebraska constantly in a state of rebuilding? Always waiting for a couple more years down the road.

Lets just move on already, otherwise it is going to be extremely frustrating to see Frost get picked up by a bigger program and see that we lost out on our opportunity to get someone who has potential to be here for a long, long time.

#16?  Where does he have them at #16?  AP and Coaches poll both have UCF at #25.
