Maybe this is morbid of me, but I honestly can't believe that stuff like this doesn't happen more often. Like, I've always thought how easy it would be for me to cause insane amounts of destruction and death if I really wanted to, and I guess thank God that there are a very, very, very small number of people who are twisted enough to actually decide to do that? It just doesn't seem like it'd be that hard.
I think that's the Call of the Void, or something similar. It's basically your brain identifying that such things are possible, maybe as a way to reaffirm that you are not actually interested in doing it, as if you're test-driving the idea and opting not to. If you've ever daydreamed about punching your friend or jumping from a high place, but haven't, that's the same thing.
Freud said that meant you were healthy. It's a pretty normal thing.
