I remember suggesting Nebraska should've hired Mark Dantonio 5 years ago...

...& all the 'holier than thou' board members said (more or less) what an idiot I was for suggesting such a thing. Michigan State hasn't won a national championship, but I don't remember a year since at least 2010 when they weren't a pretty damn competitive team. All the 'holier than though' posters who blasted my idea 5 years ago, please post here. Thanks.

I'm pretty confident that there are at least 1000 better options than Mike Riley, so yeah... Dantonio makes that list.

What exactly makes you think that Mark Dantonio would leave Michigan State to come to Nebraska?  He was in the playoff 2 years ago and in the middle of winning 3 conference championships in 5 years with the Spartans.

Maybe the problem wasn't the "holier than thou" posters.  Maybe it was somebody living in a fantasy land.

Did you even read my ****ing post??? I said I suggested this 5 years ago, which if you know basic math (you may not since you don't seem to know how to read), 2017-5=2012. In 2012 Michigan State had a losing record, but was competitive in every game they lost & came within a point of beating the same undefeated Ohio State team that absolutely whipped us. This was following the embarrassment that was the 2012 Big 10 championship game, & yes we probably could've hired Mark Dantonio then if we wanted to (or at least we would've had a hell of a lot better chance to than now). You must be 1 of those "know it all" posters who blasted my idea back then.

Well, hey guess what? My idea has stood the test of time (even though Nebraska never attempted to hire Dantonio or a similar caliber coach). So to all the know-it-alls on this board, eat ****

MSU was 3-9 Las year. How do you think that would of went over in Nebraska?

5 years ago was 2012. You suggested that we hire Mark Dantonio during a season when Bo Pelini led us to 10 wins and a championship game appearance?

That doesn't sound very logical.
Yeah I ****ing did suggest it. Because Michigan State was a competitive team that year, despite a losing record, while Nebraska had 60 hung on them by both Ohio State & Wisconsin in noncompetitive games. Thanks for your post.

Sigh...

#1--In 2012, Nebraska won their division and played in the B1G championship game while winning 10 games.

#2--Dantonio won the B1G in 2010, Played for it in 2011 He wouldn't leave for Nebraska

#3--He also won the B1G in 2013 and then was in the playoff in 2015 so he was COACHING A FAR BETTER PROGRAM THAN NEBRASKA so would therefore not leave

#4--You wanted to fire a coach that went to a championship game and then expect a guy, from a team that had won 2 of the last 3 conference titles to jump ship?

These statements you are making prove you don't understand the game and its coaches.  Go sleep it off, man.

I didn't call you nonsensical! I just gave you a suggestion for a username, because what you're posting doesn't make any sense. On the other hand, though, you do seem pretty angry...

Personal attack! Where's that politically correct (()) AR Husker Fan when you need him?

I had an account get banned for calling Tuff Tiger an idiot years ago (even though if you read the dudes posts, I honestly thought I was just stating a fact). So why is it okay for Landlord to call me 'nonsensical', which #1 is attacking the poster, not the post & #2 can easily be taken as personally insulting my intelligence.

AR Husker Fan I am calling your left wing politically correct a$$ out! Why the **** is Landlord allowed to call me nonsensical?

Ironically, this post will likely get YOU banned...... Again

In response to #4, Nebraska was a lot more respectable program nationally than it is now; was paying Bo Pelini more at the time than Mark Dantonio was making at Michigan State, and Nebraska had 60 hung on them in a noncompetitive conference championship game that they were favored to win, against 7-5 Wisconsin team that didnt' even win their own division.

Anyway, I'm not even suggesting Mark Dantonio would've come here had that *** Eichorst tried to hire him. I'm only saying that I suggested it 5 years ago & I basically got told how stupid my idea was (not because it was implausible, the people on this board who blasted my idea thought Dantonio would've been a bad hire). So now I'm calling out those same know-it-alls, just felt like letting them know that don't actually know everything. Not saying I do, by any means.

Okay, I guess if that post is acceptable by board standards, then this post should be acceptable too.

Landlord, I suggest you change your user name to "Annoying dumb***". I am not calling you an "annoying dumb***", I am only suggesting a change in your username. :)
