There is no alternate universe in which to find the answers, but I wonder how much the cancelled UCF games added to SF's future paychecks? Georgia Tech might have been one of the toughest tests on their schedule (and would have surely bumped them from the Ranking that they now enjoy - had they lost). Even if they were not losses, those two cancelled games are games in which no UCF players were injured, which paid unknown dividends down the road. While those two hurricanes caused a lot of financial damage, they likely resulted in quite a windfall for Mr. Frost & Co.

UCF had two cancelled games, but Memphis was moved to the week they played Maine. Then Austin Peay was scheduled for the week that was supposed to be a bye. So while two games were cancelled, FCS Austin Peay replaced FCS Maine, so they basically just had one game cancelled.

Won't UCF play Memphis in the championship game?
