it's insane to me that this kid was good enough for 12-1 wisconsin, but not good enough for riley's 4-8 squad.

No one was ever really sure what Devaney's role was but Diaco was really big on certain "measurables" for each position.  If you didn't fit the mold, you weren't for him.
