Nomination for Evan Bland for his ridiculous public question to the UCF QB, and then being so tone deaf about its inappropriateness that he bragged about it on Twitter, then when confronted by numerous NE fans and UCF fans he defended it as "journalism".  Omaha World Herald should be ashamed.

context?

IMHO that does not make it ok for a Nebraska paper to do so.  Different ballgame when UCF player is interviewing with UCF media, and when a UCF player is fielding questions from an out of state media member who has very little reason to be there, other than overstepping his place.

How the press has conducted itself during Frost's transition to Nebraska has been less than admirable (who leaked it during the finals game?) And if the question was already asked, why do so again??

Hey, the beautiful thing about following sports is that we relish the discomfort we manufacture for these objects of our entertainment! They knew what they signed up for, something about his UCF scholarship, etc, etc, as I think the argument goes.

Poor question, poor timing. No debate there.

However, let's pump the brakes on making it a negative endorsement of the entire Omaha World-Herald. Journalists are people and akin to doing ill-advised things like the rest of us. It just so happens their mistakes are far more public. His choice is worth criticism and negative flak and it should be left at that.

Did he also murder someone while asking the question? He must have based on the way some people are reacting.

Agreed.

A lot of people are pissed because they WANT Milton to transfer and they think this will hurt those chances...

If he murdered someone while asking the question, I would be calling him a murderer and demanding for him to be arrested and bringing the attention to people on social media and also to law enforcement if they hadn't yet arrested him :P But I guess hyperbole begets hyperbole?

Hyperbole is the only way to live life! (unless you're trying to make a legitimate point and not be funny, and then hyperbole is dumb)

Something else to chew on for those that get too hung up on star rating. Take a gander at the 247 composite rankings for some current NFL stars.

Le-Veon Bell- could argue he is the best RB in NFL. 247 composite coming out of high school .80

Antonio Brown- could argue he is the best WR in NFL. 247 composite coming out of high school. Never received a rating- didnt bother to rate him.

Matt Ryan- Last years MVP. 247 composite coming out of high school .81.

Aaron Rodgers. could argue he is tied with brady for NFL best. .86 as juco prospect because no one wanted him out of high school.

Kareem Hunt. .80 and the list goes on and on.

Whenever I see a post like this I bang my head against a wall
