Hopefully better feet than Dan Alexander!! Cant wait to watch him.
Asked if his teammates hit hard, Castille said, "Some of them do. But me being a big back, it doesn't really faze me too much. I won't be intimidated by nobody."
Actually, let Lucky wear out defenses chasing his speedy a$$ in the first half. Then when the D-line can hardly muster another breath, have Castille slam into them again and again and again. It'll be like a Spartan phalanx grinding through whatever is stupid enough to get in its way.Why would you limit his abilites to short yardage?????????
Let him where down that defense in the first half, and those 5-6 yard gains will turn into homeruns in the second half.
alexander was a little tank. he was one of my favorites.Hopefully better feet than Dan Alexander!! Cant wait to watch him.
:yeah My understanding of the Walsh/WCO school of thought, not that I know much about it, is that you use the short horizontal lanes (quick, precisely timed routes, including passes to the backs) to open up the vertical lanes to the run and longer passes. Not saying you can't use power running, and coaches do modify the WCO, but the basic idea is to tire the D with the horizontal stuff to loosen up the vertical lanes.Actually, let Lucky wear out defenses chasing his speedy a$$ in the first half. I get giddy just imagining, though, what it would be like to have a Glenn/Castille lineup. If there ever was a "Nebraska way," I think these two guys might be able to remind us.
:bonez And USC must be razed to the ground. :bonez
I would agree that you need a good running corps to make it work, and putting everything on one or two backs might be a concern. I'd think early in the game when the backs might be going out for short passes, etc. they're likely to take some pops. If we're depending on 1 or 2 backs to work the vertical lanes as the game wears on, and one of them gets hurt, that element of the plan is taken away.agree, but you have to have a bunch of athletes that run precise routes, etc. to make it really effective. if we play a lot of new faces, there is nothing wrong with scripting plays for them, to utilize their talent now.
i fear Lucky and Glenn are going to be less than effective for the whole season.
Health wise or ability?i fear Lucky and Glenn are going to be less than effective for the whole season.
Coincidence? Not likely. It's like Castille came in to the picture at the perfect time as Glenn is hurt and people are starting to question Lucky's durability. :thumbs

Too bad Leon Jackson left so early, he could have played RB like he wanted to all along.Health wise or ability?i fear Lucky and Glenn are going to be less than effective for the whole season.
health wise, again, things not shaping up very positive for either of them in the preseason.
