This is true, but great receivers may not do much with a bad OL (see last year), while mediocre receivers shine with a great line. I would much rather have the best OL in CFB than the best receiving corp. I am pretty sure any member of this board could have gained 1000 yards in the mid-90s.
This is an RPO/box count offense now. The best blocks are the ones you don't have to make, and great receivers enable that in these style of offenses. We would all love a return to form on the offensive line, but we don't have that line, yet, and while I'm hopeful by season's end to at least get a decent 5, we are a long ways off. At least we have other pieces to help stem the tide until those days return.
