Probably because Omaha and Lincoln have events with these people all the time.  This tour is for smaller communities in outstate Nebraska that don't get them often.

I'm surprised he waited till AFTER his treck up/down the Grand Canyon for surgery.   He could probably hobble up and down it on his crutches better than most fully functioning adults.
