If you want to start some sh!t with me that badly, take it to the shed and I'll oblige your BS. You would think a former mod would know the regular forum is not the place to keep taking shots at people.

OK, here's your thread. You constantly misrepresent my position on all kinds of subjects, then cry that you're the one whose "words are being twisted." Your arguments are full of straw men, you go out of your way to respond to posts that have little or nothing to do with you, and the whole time you play the victim.

So here's your thread to b!^@h at me to your heart's content.  Just know that when you go off on these little whine fests it's the most boring thing in the world.  The stage is yours.

Heres something that many won’t find boring or needlessly cumbersome; F#ck you and your “my sh!t don’t stink” attitude.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

YOU constantly misrepresent MY position on all kinds of subjects.

You would think someone that twists words and intent as much as you do wouldn’t mind being called on it once in awhile. But the other person is always the one playing victim

You constantly call responses to your little forays into the absurd “straw men”. I suppose it’s a good way to deflect and avoid having to actually explain what it is you really meant with your cute little observations and exclamations of wonderment. But it does get old. Talk about boring.

You get emotional about subjects and fly off the handle. You have a particular problem with people (especially me) disagreeing with you.

You seem to forget that you disagree with me as much as I disagree with you. The difference is, it doesn't affect me that our opinions differ, or that you say I'm wrong. Whatever. We have different views.

I don't mind differing views at all. In fact that would be the main reason I venture into the cesspool of P&R at all. Generally I like you and respect your opinion but when you begin needling people for a reaction, twisting words, and then acting like it is all on the other person, yeah, I find it highly annoying. I wouldn't call it being "emotional" when one party starts it by being pompous and innocent about their actions and the other party is simply trying to set the record straight and cut through the BS and then ends up, as you put it "flying off the handle".  Maybe we do view things so differently that we just can't interpret the true intent of the other person. That might be the explanation but it sure doesn't seem like the whole story.

But yeah, I get a bit testy when somebody misrepresents what I'm saying or begins to take passive aggressive jabs at my viewpoint. Whatever, I don't have time for this crap today. Maybe later.

Again, you are not the innocent victim you're pretending to be here. You manipulate, twist words, misrepresent positions, and generally do all the things you complain that I do. I just don't get upset by disagreeing with you.

Genuine questions- Do you manipulate, twist words, misrepresent positions? Do you do those things on purpose?

I'll freely admit that I may do those things unknowingly and that you apparently take them that way. But except in very rare cases (usually when I'm trying to be obviously funny), I do not knowingly do those things on purpose. I am honestly baffled a lot of the time as to what the real intent of some of your posts are.

When your entry into the topic begins with "I'm amazed Christians do this...", how am I supposed to take that? Just as an innocent observation of your amazement or the way I did take it, as another shot at Christians?

When I give an honest answer about Jesus and socialism and the response is "Jesus and Christians didn't invent those things" (something I did not even remotely say or intend) how am I supposed to take that response?  I'm not playing innocent, I'm honestly confused by the intent of a lot of your posts. When enough evidence piles up in one direction then I start assuming what the intent must be.

A **LOT** of Christians read that and didn't respond. You did. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I explained why I thought that. I could do it again, using Jesus' actual factual words. That you took Jesus' own words as 'a shot at Christians' says more about you than me.

Hey if this is the way you want the be about it, fine. Of course there can be no nuance between Jesus' biblical style of socialism and the political socialism being discussed in that thread. It's all the same, right?

And here you go twisting the words again...."That you took Jesus own words as a shot at Christians" bap bap bap and then the smart a$$ kicker, "says more about you than me". I don't know what your problem is but I hope you get it worked out for your sake. It's really unappealing. Have a good day.

Instead of getting angry, you could offer constructive conversation and explain the differences you see between the two things.  But it's easier to get angry and complain, isn't it?

Actually I did that with others in that thread that weren't being such tools about it. I respond in the same fashion I'm responded to. That's still the plan going forward. And I'm not angry, really. I'm just done tolerating the "it's always somebody else's problem" attitude you've chosen to adopt on the subject. If you want more civil discussion maybe look in the mirror for some of the solution. If not, that's fine too.

Do you actually believe that? You quoted me, you goof.

Yes, I actually believe that....because it actually happened.  Have you recently had another bike wreck and sustained a brain injury? Here is the exchange between Moiraine and myself that I am referring to. Or did this not happen in knapplc land?

Hypocrite isn't the right word here. It just makes no sense. One of the two most essential figures in the whole religion seems to believe in socialism and Christians tend to conveniently completely ignore it or rail against it. It's just plain confusing.

I guess I don't find it confusing at all. Maybe because socialism in the biblical sense is much different than political socialism. I believe in charity, helping the less fortunate etc. But when it comes to governments, politicians and forced sharing for the collective, I think history has shown us the downfalls of such a system. A person would have to severely spin the Bible to interpret that Jesus desired widespread political socialism. But yes many "Christians" do act in confusing ways when it comes to the welfare of their fellow man. Also many non-Christians but it isn't as easy to catagorize them into one tidy little group. Like most things the real problem is people in general but that doesn't drive division or seemingly provide any motive.

Honest question as an innocent bystander, is this a cut and paste paragraph you have at the ready? Asking for a friend.
