DOJ Initial Russia Hearings

Saw an interview with one of the jurors, a Trump voter, who said that the evidence against Manafort was overwhelming. She said they laid it all out for the holdout juror, and went over it again and again and again, but she kept saying she had "reasonable doubt."

That woman is either dumber than a box of hammers or a partisan stooge. If 11 other people from all walks of life, including people disinclined to feel that Trump's people are guilty, say that they're "overwhelmingly" guilty, that final holdout clearly has an agenda.

 
It happens, jurors are very unpredictable. If they were truly that partisan, they wouldn't have found guilty on the other 8. But that is great information for the prosecuting attorneys, whether by retrial or plea negotiations.

Absent a pardon, Manafort should die in prison.

if i recall correctly....manafort didn't even present a defense.    clearly either an agenda or perhaps someone got paid.  trump has been known to payoff people before.

This guy's a former federal prosecutor and indicates it doesn't matter anyway. Your last sentence is dead on.

Just for her safety and sanity, I hope that hold out's name is never release. Otherwise her life will be ruined. Although an anonymous interview would be nice to hear why they were so dense.

Well this is just f#cking stupid. We need to treat this election like the most important one of our lifetimes. 

It certainly feels like it is for me. It's become a referendum on whether justice matters or the President and his elected supporters can just do whatever the hell they want.

The election in 2016 was more important. It could have prevented (or maybe just delayed) this.

The state elections in 2010 have also had a huge impact on the House for decades to come unless they are won by people willing to redraw maps fairly. Republicans are in the minority but they have the advantage in the system.

It sounds like the holdout agreed with the judge and much of America that the prosecution was only brought to try to get leverage to flip Manafort against Trump.
