Beaver tampering(not the good kind)

ESPN is putting words in Frost's mouth.  I didn't get the impression that he was accusing OSU of tampering. Makes for a good headline though.

I think the general consensus is that it's fine as long as the player makes first contact, right? That's the way it supposedly was with Vedral.

Winning a few games would likely have rendered any of this perceived "tampering" not relevant, no matter the transfers.

It's pretty much irrelevant either way. Nebraska winning or losing really has nothing to do with this.  Any player that doesn't want to be here is more than welcome to get the hell out.  However, there are contact rules that schools are supposed to follow. If Oregon State broke those rules, again (reference their contacting Hawaii players not long ago), then they should face the music. This is about other teams not following the rules, not about our W-L record.

The one I find most interesting is Lindsey. He risked having to sit out this year and next year unless he landed at a school on quarters system still enrolling kids. He had to have known that Oregon St was going to take him because it was basically his only option to avoid sitting out almost two years. Gebbia is suspicious just because of how quickly he pulled the trigger too. Seemed like he knew exactly where he was headed when he asked for release. Those cases make it seem like tampering could have been the case.
