The Village of the "Banned"

Generally speaking, we are not required to go out of our way to sympathize with anybody's personal situation whether they're homosexual, transgender, bisexual, etc. Most of those folks just want to be treated "normal." I also believe most of them understand (and expect) routine hiccups with how they're treated. It's inevitable in a society so heavily saturated in certain gender constructs.

I feel uncomfortable talking about MC's personal situation now that she's no longer here. But, I will say that I never once got the impression from her that she demanded to be treated any way other than human, with equal rights and protection under the law. Most of MC's shall we say more 'colorful' expositions were largely the result of power figures making her feel ostracized. I can't blame anybody for that. I believe MC feels some of the things that happen and are said in this country are a direct assault to her safety and well-being. And, if we're honest, she'd have a fair argument.

Anyone else think that MC was someone's sock (is that the term?)

People choosing to be a different gender has no effect on me, more power to them.  But if they get offended because I mistakenly refer to them as one of the two accepted core genders because my eyes work, I'm now an a$$h@!e?  No, that's silly.

Making a mistake is not being an a$$h@!e. But that's not what you did. You purposefully went to the effort of making sure to refer to her as a he, to belittle. I pointed out that she had asked to be referred to as she/her, to which you responded,

"So he was a he, that decided he wanted to be called a she.  Got it."

You said you don't go out of your way to offend someone. But that's literally what you chose to do right here. There was no mistake involved, and you knew she had a preference of what people would call her, and you chose to do the opposite, in protest/offense.

So....you're angry because that's an accurate description of MC's situation?  Can't help ya if you wanna choose to be offended by it.  It might be blunt, but it's factual.  And I said in real life.  This isn't real life.  People can be whatever they want on an anonymous message board forum, most use that advantage to be the person the wish they were.  For all we know MC was a 12yr old boy just trying to stir s#!t up which honestly seems more likely.

Yep...

For all we know MC was a woman like she said she was, so why not just refer to her as a woman?

Oh wait. Because it's factual that she was a man?

How do you know that?

I mean for all we know MC was a 12.....wait a second. This reasoning doesn't make any sense!

I decree...that from this post forward...YOU WILL ALL REFER TO ME AS:

The King Of All Posting!

Isn't that was Michael Jackson and Howard Stern did?

Pretty close.

Stern=King of all Media.  I think that was self-given.

MJ=King of Pop.  That one I'm not sure on the origin.
