McGriff Leaves Program

Every time I hear about a coach suggested position switch after a kid is in school I wonder if this isn't sure to follow.  He did mention grades though...

Good luck to this young man!!!  Looks like a case where NU is brining in more talent than UCF - Guessing he saw that he was being passed by at both positions.

It can be hard for a kid to be moved around positions a number of times. The coaches are also trying to find a way for the kid to beat contribute to the team. Sometimes, the kid and the coaches aren’t on the same page.

Was he moved around a number of times?  And if he was, I understand it being difficult, but I would think moving from school to school is just as difficult.

I don't know.  Best of luck to him.

I don't recall anything publicly about him moving positions repeatedly. I would point at grades on this one. It is nice for him to acknowledge the efforts of the academic staff, but I do not think he would have had there not been specific reason to. For example, no specific mention of the S&C staff was made.

Anyway, best of luck to the guy.

Another article said he was going between WR/TE when he came in and switched to LB in Dec.....Maybe things just didn't work out for him.

Best of luck to him in future endeavors.
