You probably won't believe this @Landlord but you get eye rolled a lot because many of your posts physically cause people to roll their eyes.

I completely believe that.

My post didn’t add nothing to the topic, I was clarifying what I’d said earlier.

But your post telling me I wasn't adding anything to the topic wasn't adding anything to the topic. So there!

Perhaps the most ridiculous aspect of the eye roll reaction is it's primarily being used by only a couple of board members. I'd say 80-90% of the time I see it applied to someone's post it has come from the same couple of people.

Personally, I don't see why people get so worked up about it. We literally have a 'crazy eye' emoji you can apply to your post and it accomplishes the same principal function.

If only we could figure out which members like stirring the pot just to see the pot stirred. Hmmmm..........
That would likely lead to routine, baseless accusations every time it happens. I'm guessing it's the anonymity that drives people nuts but it still feels like a pretty small deal. It's a better alternative than the '-1' function, IMO.

Sure, that's why ...

I love the eye roll...I love giving it and I love getting it.

Could you imagine a -1 function where if a post got enough -1's that he/she was frozen from posting for like 2 hours.  That would be a riot!

Not only is it a small deal, but it's kinda funny. It makes whoever uses it look petty & small, and afraid to actually comment on the post because they know they'd get shredded.  To me, it's kind of a surrender. I get a kick out of seeing them on my post with no other reply.

I still say remove the anonymity from the emojis. I'd prefer if people could see that I eye-rolled their post.
No kidding...anyone that would actually get worked up over knowing who eye rolled one of their posts probably needs to see a shrink...or drink more...or both.

I did get a trophy the other day and that made me feel good about myself...for about 7 seconds.

I guess we could just quote the post and eye roll.  But I have a feeling that the Alan Alda's might take offense to that and tattle.
