If that kid got probation, likely that's what'll happen to Washington.




Possibly not even probation. That kid was actually one of the ones in the video, that she accuses of rape, and he sent it to classmates. That is more egregious than sending it to just her out of apparent spite.

But this part isn't a good look:

An investigator on the case said the Sheriff’s Department has been unable to interview Washington during the months-long investigation after making requests through the University of Nebraska’s Athletic Department, as well as Washington’s former attorney, Jon Bruning, who is the former Attorney General of Nebraska.

Let's be careful of the words we use here. These situations can be far worse or far less severe than they seem at first blush.  Let's wait until the second wave of news hits. We haven't heard from Washington yet.

There's plenty of time to kick the guy off the team. Let's be sure we need to before we convict him here.

And, the text sent to her was bad.  However, let's remember, he wasn't the one that was video taped having sex with her or video taping it.  He was not involved (as far as we know) until he received the video on his phone.

Nothing involving Jon Bruning is good. Why is that scumbag a part of this?

No, when he sent it on to her is when he was guilty.

If I text you that same picture, and you immediately delete it, you still aren't guilty of child porn....even though you didn't call the police.
