Maurice Washington Faces Charges

Serious question.  Are you a California prosecutor or defense attorney?  Or an attorney at all anywhere?  You seem very sure of yourself and I was just wondering if you are coming from a place of expertise.  Because it would be very helpful to a lot of us if actual lawyers were identified and in this debate.

Forgive me if somewhere in the last 13 pages you said you were and I missed it.
Maybe 84HuskerLaw could write up an opinion

Damn.  4 eyeTrolls.  I guess people don't want any lawyers helping us out here.  Carry on

I have a "friend" on Facebook who posts s#!t articles like "All accidental pregnancies are mens fault because the have penises" and makes comments like "I'm appalled at how men don't realize or apologize enough for being men because some men rape therefore all men should feel bad".

Mind you, I know this chick because I worked with her 12 years ago in Lincoln when she cheated on her boyfriend with me by pushing me into a supply room and making out with me.  But yeah, perspective and all that jazz
Sounds like you pushed her into the supply room.

Sorry about that.  Yes, I meant to.

People of high character are not immune to doing low character things.  They are also not immune from facing consequences for those things either.
But, yet.....you are going to judge the character of Washington based on one single thing he did.

I don't see very many people on here willing to say he shouldn't face the consequences of his actions....once the facts are actually known in the case.

You, on the other hand, believe he should be condemned as a horrible person and his life damaged based on this singular incident....without knowing the facts.

Kind of like someone taking ads out in news papers proclaiming some teenagers should get the death penalty for murder only to find out.....ooops....they didn't do it.

That post kind of implied that only lawyers should be allowed to comment on legal topics. People have various levels of knowledge on different things, but if someone is talking out of their a$$, they will get exposed soon enough. I don't know how many actual lawyers are on this board, but there are several of us who work in legal or quasi-legal fields and can speak intelligently about this stuff.

It's kind of like asking, if we are debating the morality of something, if you are a philosopher or a clergyman, otherwise we won't trust your expertise on the topic.

Ric Flair used to pretend that he taught law or some such nonsense, but it was obvious from his posting that he held no such intellectual ground, so if someone on this board tells us they are a lawyer, I would take it with a grain of salt anyway.

I think I spelled out to Saunders a few posts back how I felt about consequences.

And I'd like to say some things about you comparing me to Trump but I need to decide if it's worth getting banned over.
