Where is that thread? I received a warning via email but for the life of me I can't remember posting anything deserving of a warning. And now I can't find it in my posting history and can't find the thread at all.

@Enhance I think I remember it now. I had a notification that huskerfan74 replied to me in that topic. The link led nowhere but it did jog my memory. I said something like “Grow up and get over it. You’re a grown a$$ man (I think) it’s time to start acting like one.” I guess one person’s constructive advice is another person’s personal attack.
I guess years and years of nothing but pissing and moaning can’t be commented on. I really don’t feel it was a personal attack or anything more than an observation and constructive advice but whatevs. IDGAF. F#ck that guy and anybody that can’t take hearing the truth.

My only problem with the warning system is I was told the last time I got a warning that I had 4 as if that was a huge # and was told I’d be banned if I got another. But it was 4 warnings in 8 years. I think frequency/year should be taken into account. I’m guessing the response is gonna be “you’ve been there that long so you should know better” as if people who occasionally lose their temper don’t belong on this prestigious forum.

I agree.I got a warning for calling an idiot an idiot.
Totally worth it.
Half of my warning points are just for telling the truth.
Told this guy to grow up, and he needs to.
And told someone they were being dense, when they were being dense. That one :lol: still chaps my a$$.
If those are what tips the scales and gets me booted, I'll never understand it or agree, but whatcha ya gonna do :dunno
BTW, is there a predetermined amount of warning points that will result in a permaban? Asking for a friend
Gotta make sure if I'm at the "one more" point that the next one is totally worth it. I want to make sure I go out in a blaze of glory and not some wimpy "grow up" comment.

That is a good point and I agree. I also think the mod should be taken into account. I think all my points are from the same mod...who quit the site...and they were all for the same exact thing (being super funny and clever). But I think ever 90 days your point should be erased and if the mod that gives it to you leaves...

Back in the day we used a three-strike code, but it wasn't enforced in every situation.
Longevity played a role, as did previous encounters, etc. Each situation was judged on its own merits.
There were people who could have been banned back in the day but weren't. We would err on the side of leniency whenever possible.

Ha, that was the message with my warning, "you know better". Well apparently I don't know better. For at least a week all you could read on this site was people trying to one up each other with their displeasure and indignation at the performance of the 2019 football team. And we're supposed to not snap at some point? Especially from a poster that has been that way forever....F that.

For weeks you do anything you want and nothing happens...then one day you leave some food out and you are getting yelled at by 10 dudes at 2am.
