On Early Break this morning it was stated that they didn't think he'd sign in December. Hopefully just making sure a few t's are crossed and a few i's are dotted.

 
Those highlights are spectacular. Betts is so smooth in his movements and such a fluid hand catcher. He looks like a high school Chad Ochocinco.

 
This one we will have to keep an eye on. Erin Sorensen, of Hail Varsity, said one of the reasons they sign several WRs is in case Betts doesn’t make it academically. Let’s keep our fingers cross.

I mean....this is a pretty obvious statement. There is a reason he didn't sign today and is signing in February. He has obvious academic issues but everything that actual recruiting experts have indicated and those close with are saying he is trending up and will be a Husker. Damon Benning's wife is personally helping him as she is a teacher at his school. Frost is smart to hold off in case the worst happens because that gives us an open spot unlike it would if he had signed today.

The end of this semester will be key, as his updated GPA in core classes will help determine whether his test scores are high enough.
