Hey, I don't mean this with any sarcasm.  I wasn't following for this whole saga.  How different was this than Scott telling Sevion to take his time and not commit if he wasn't ready right before ESD?  He gets praises sung because it worked, but if it doesn't, are we still making jokes about it years later?

Again, I wasn't around, I'm genuinely curious.

Taking time before committing is different than when I guy has been a long time commit and class recruiter.  Taking time beforehand is to make sure you don’t have to do the other option.
