*** 2022 Recruiting ***

We've offered more kids for 2022 than the rest of the B1G West combined. Is this an effective strategy? Desperation? Will we lose out on kids because we're recruiting so many?

This is the same every year, nothing new.  Iowa fans make this joke all the time.  Oprah memes, "you get a scholarship! And you get a scholarship!" Haha.

@Jeremy D - none of the above

Tennessee is #3.  They seem to be doing quite well for themselves on the recruiting front (currently #2 class for 2021)
They also have had their top 4 rated commits sign up in the last week,  during the pandemic/dead period....curious. :huh: <_< :dunno

One of the HOL guys commented today that the word is they've done a good job selling the doomsday scenario.  "Who knows if you'll have a season so commit now before our spots are gone and you can't take visits."  Not sure how much of that is true but it kind of fits what's happening.

Bagmen have been following social distancing guidelines forever. Now more than ever it should be easy to drop off a package without making contact and not raise suspicion. They can even wear a mask if they like. This is truly a golden age for buying  recruiting athletes.

Will he curious to see if some of the local kids rise in the rankings since we are playing a season and some parts of the country won’t. It will allow the services to focus more evaluating these kids in lieu of time spent in Cali etc

Our two biggest 2022 local kids aren't playing either, at least not yet.

I've seen where a lot of D1 athletes are transferring to Iowa high schools
