I laugh every time people call liberals Communists because I know several people in the U.S. who lived in Communist countries and they all think the Republican party right now is horrible.

We don't teach anything but the greatness of capitalism in the US, so it's not surprising that hardly anyone - conservative, liberal, libertarian, etc. - knows the differences between Marxism, socialism, and communism.

We cover everything you listed in pretty good detail.  In 9th grade, 11th grade and 12th grade (But that depends a bit more on the electives you take)

Really, the Korean War totally gets glossed over...all the time...like all the time.

These people also think it's cool that a convicted felon doesn't need to serve jail time because Trump disagrees with the jury.  I guess maybe that's why their scared, they are seeing crazy s#!t happen in the present and they don't want to see what might happen if it isn't "their guy" in charge... :dunno

Yep. And they recognize that what liberals want is nothing like communism, because they aren’t morons. They lived through communism but agree with liberals on most issues. Preferring the U.S. to communism doesn’t mean they don’t want anything to change.

I think you should be able to give an elementary school definition for the ism you advocate for.
