I may be playing a bit fast and lose with met or close proximity but for me they were relatively close.

Palin about 15'.

Met and talked to Husker Bob in the early 80's.

Sean Connery was at the Venetian on the porch/balcony and I was on the sidewalk....prob 50' away. Might be pushing the intent here but dang, it was Connery.

Never been closer to Elway than about the 40th row of Mile High but I was very close to his wife and kids in their private box at Mile High.

I also was like 3 feet away from Bo Pelini before we played Georgia in the Capital One Bowl at some sporting goods store in Lincoln and I was looking for a Georgia shirt for Elaida.

I don’t think I even know who Michael Shannon is.....

Edit- I googled Shannon. I know who he is, just didn't know his name. Still going with the inventor of the internet.

Nope Al Gore stayed in the same hotel as us in Kansas City on the campaign trail in 2000. He shook my hand when he came out of the elevator surrounded by Secret Service.

It was my 11th birthday and my mom took us to Worlds of Fun :lol:
