Whats also interesting about COVID is the neurological symptoms. Loss of taste and smell could just be the beginning of the damage done there. Many are reporting brain fog and confusion. Here is a study using 'mini brains' that's quite intriguing.

Seems that influenza has also been associated with long term cardiological issues. 
 

To me, this suggests:

1) Coronavirus is not exceptional in that it is a viral infection that may lead to life-long complications 

2) The flu should be taken a little more seriously than it is currently.

There are no rules...not for voluntary workouts.  I guess the only rule is coaches have to wear masks and no water can be supplied by the school.

I know two schools in the Omaha area that came back with positive cases.

If the season is cancelled how will roster sizes work for 2021 hoping that we are in the clear by next fall? If SRs are able to comeback I'm sure most of them will. Will they make freshmen redshirt? Otherwise they get a free year to get ready. They could possible make the SRs who already redshirted bounce, but there will be a lot of push back on that.

My guess...most seniors will not come back.  If you are a senior and you know you are not going to play because you just aren't that good are you really going to go through the grind again?  Probably not.

If you are a senior and are good enough for the NFL that will be your focus.

Interesting to think about for sure- For those seniors that aren't quite making the cut for the NFL, they may want the chance to play to prove themselves.  Guessing we see a lot of transfer portal activity with those guys landing wherever they can find a spot.  Could make for a very competitive year with some typically below average teams competing at a higher level.

I think people will be surprised how many would want to comeback - maybe I'm wrong as well. There are a lot of college kids who get a lot of PT or even start that know their NFL dreams are slim.

Youre right, its not exceptional. That said, these complications are much more common in these types of respiratory illnesses as already seen with MERS and SARS compared to the flu. Why people want to make this out to be pretty much the same as the flu, I have no idea.
