The rare cogent point.
For some reason I heard Robert Downey Jr. saying this .... and it seemed to fit perfectly.

You could go sledding, or get on that drug habit you've been meaning to start. My wife and I were talking last night about this winter. Summer has been fairly easy in our area because of outdoor actives like work in the yard, going to the lake or golfing. Winters in Nebraska suck anyway...but at least you could plan on getting out to some sporting events (college or HS) along with some social events.
If we have to go all winter with very little to do and no sports to watch on TV...I'm going to go crazy.
I might have to start reading War and Peace.
Because no one knows the true origin, and Spain was like that little kid in class that got blamed for the fart. Why isn't the Spanish Flu known as the American Flu?

I thought it was well established that it originated in Kansas and that Spain got the name because they had a free press who reported the virus while other countries were hush hush because of WWI.Because no one knows the true origin, and Spain was like that little kid in class that got blamed for the fart.
If we're going to be serious about it, the players should have 'a voice.' But I shudder at the thought of my 18 year old self trying to lead a union or a social movement. This could be a good educational opportunity to converse with the players about safety, as long as call is made by the adults in the room.I don't think you're going to find very many posters here who actually think the PAC 12's players group is claiming their demands are COVID-centric. There's been a lot happening in this country lately, and also the push to pay players has been brewing for a while.
Count me in the camp that thinks that if a coach makes $5 million/year the players should be getting paid beyond a free degree (that in my opinion is becoming obsolete in value in the present age anyway) and $6000/year.
I want to watch college football this season but it seems that times are a changin' and that a lot of s|-|it's about to go down.
*Edit: Maybe you weren't talking about the PAC 12 players group, Joe. Sorry if I misunderstood there.

As for the Cardinals, I caught the tail-end of a rant from Brandon Tierney of CBS Sports Radio stating some Cardinals went to a casino prior to their series against the Brewers. Again, I caught the tail-end so I may have missed something.
This is a real post. The difference between public and private spaces. This is a real issue in the current environment. I agree that there is no logic here and there is room for a good discussion as to why. I wish you would post like this in the other forums. You might enjoy it more.Yes my criticism of the fake lock downs always comes back to the dearth of logic. In my state I may not enter a library, community college hall, or a gym. However I can (but won't) go to a casino or a crowded unmasked restaurant patio.
