Don't be confused! I have no issue with the emoji itself, it is actually kind of cute. I don't care for the pretentious/sanctimonious overtones associated with it's infrequent use.

I just copy/paste it. I mostly use this site on desktop so it's easier, I guess. But if you have a notepad app on your phone you should be able to copy it from one of my posts, then paste it whenever you want to use it.

Or you could use the one in the emoji bin here on HuskerBoard.   :dunno

Thanks, I will copy/paste. I might even use it for some sanctimonious or pretentious feeling circumstances.

I have no idea if it is weird, or if anyone else takes it that way. I can only speak for my own views, regarding the feeling of superiority the user must feel when they replicate it in certain situations.

I can tell you, as probably the most frequent user of that particular emoji, that I use it to evince confusion.

I have never used it to convey superiority. 

EDIT - it's one of maybe 50 or so emojis I ran across a few years ago. I just plopped them all into a text file and use them as needed - although the others don't get trotted out as much.  Some of my favorites:

What in the actual F is wrong with devnet. I’ve seen people double down before but dayum. There was a very good reason I’ve had him on ignore forever. Two days off the list has reinforced why he got put there in the first place.

I'd invite you to read the synopsis post I made on my position.  It's not confusing and it's logically laid out.

Also, you have no evidence to the contrary that it's not due to my unpopular opinion.  I stand by that assertion as my opinion is unpopular on this board much more than it is popular.  You can look in numerous forums in the political area and the football area where folks regularly cannot stand to hear my opinions on anything at all because it is so unlike their own and most of Huskerboard.

FWIW, In my real life, I train new folks on processes and standards and analytical troubleshooting for my company.  If I was as poor at explaining something as folks say in this thread, I'd have been fired a long time ago.
