^^ That's why I've had him on ignore for years

He's a pretty interesting dude. Apparently in 2006 he hosted an epic tailgate for a bunch of Husker fans in LA for the USC game. The former HuskerBoard owners were there and just love the guy. When he started begin extra gripey back about ten years ago, they forbade the Mods from doing anything to him (no warnings/suspensions) because of that.

We did a few HuskerBoard tailgates here several years ago, and he shipped in a case of these amazing tortilla chips for the event. It may not seem like much, but these were the best chips you've ever had.

So he clearly loves the Huskers, loves/loved this site, but he has some major issues with how things are going right now. It doesn't always come across very well.

It matters because he was directly attempting to troll me. Why is that so hard to understand?

You don't get to tell me that I can't be offended by that. I get to make that decision.

But the weird thing is - why are you defending the dude who did the trolling? Why aren't you, instead, saying, "Hey, troller dude, maybe just apologize and own up to what you did and people wouldn't be mad at you."

That's where your priorities are screwed up. Redux isn't the victim here.

I havent defended him once. And maybe you should ask the mods why they didnt consider your feelings on the matter before they did what they did. I honestly dont see the need to give a troll the power he obviously has over you. There is only one way to give him the satisfaction he desires and that is by responding to him. So maybe you should look at your priorities and see if he is really worth the effort.

This isn't really directed at you two, but just a jumping off point.

I'm generally OK with anybody criticizing the board, myself or one of the other mods/admins. The presentation of the criticism is pretty important, but so is the quality and veracity of the criticism. The whole 'nobody and/or few people post here anymore' is what gets under my skin. At any one time, we have dozens of people actively posting here. When major news breaks, we'll have hundreds of users show up in the "Who's online" widget. It's a lazy criticism.

Yeah, we've had to show some people the door or make changes like limiting how much P&R we allow outside of the P&R forum. It hasn't been fun in some cases, but it has always been strange to me that there's an occasional tendency to deflect blame from the troublemakers.

Board moderation is not a perfect or exact science, but there are a lot of people (like myself) who have been frequenting this board for 10+ years. So sometimes these criticisms come off more like a "I wish things were like the way they used to be" even though that's not always a feasible or attainable goal.

For example, I wish frodaddy posted here still but I haven't talked to that dude in 10 years and probably never will again.

So you don't think he should apologize. You're just here to try and grind my gears. Cool.

I think that's exactly what he wants, and of course that's never going to happen.

I miss a lot of folks who used to be here, and it's pretty easy to see the changes on this board over the years. It's a very different vibe from when I first joined. But as some people move on (or are moved on) others come aboard, or become more vocal, and each of us has to make a decision whether that new vibe is good for us.

Clearly it isn't for him. And I can feel empathy for that. But the, as you say, "lazy criticism," is unfounded. It's more a him problem than anything.

I just got tired of his whole anti-Bo shit. For a while there, every other post was about "my wife thinks Bo's a meanie" and then "I think Bo's a meanie"

Yes, that was a drag. If you don't like a coach, tell us why.  "Because my wife thinks he's mean" is not a compelling argument.

Not grinding your gears one bit. I am merely saying it might be best if you just let it go. You most likely will never get an apology from him but he may actually apologize later on if you let it occur organically.

Maybe YOU should let it go? This has nothing to do with you. Why are you expending so much energy getting involved?

Actually I'd much prefer he put me on ignore and just forget I exist.  But alas....

What does Redux's schlong taste like?
HAHAHA

This is funny.

Years ago, I think I was in 10th grade.  Second day of football camp and in one of the drills I was in line for there were two seniors, like the "bad a$$" kind.  One goes "Hey Chad (yes, that was his name), I heard you hung out with Cheney last night...how did my d!(k taste"

They immediately started fighting and I was scared because I am a sissy, but that link still cracks me up.!
