Congrats to Damian Jackson on earning a scholarship.

Interesting that none are seniors, which is where the walk-on scholarships often go.

Pretty much expected Warner and Reimer to get one.  And they've earned them from all accounts - they'll be playing like scholarship guys.  Not sure if Jackson will play much.

Probably going to get one more at some point.

I don't know either, but Frost specifically said Jackson has worked himself into a guy who actually can help them on the field. Which feels like saying we had no previous expectations for him to make an on field impact, and that's definitely how I felt. Didn't he not even play in high school? But anyway, I don't expect him in the regular rotation or anything, but I bet he's become a core special teamer moving forward. You know he wouldn't think twice about sacrificing to blow up a wedge on the kickoff team, although the rules make that less necessary now.

I am sure there will be plenty social distancing since the place holds 106k. I remember being in there for a state track meet in the 90s. That was before the expansion and before they permanently closed the open end of the shoe. It felt very empty then, and I am sure it is going to look empty in the current configuration with < 2000 people in the stands.

I was kinda excited. With OSU fans that should be north of 3000. My thought was 3000 would be around what they get at memorial for State Title games? 3000 should be enough for it to not look/feel/sound like a complete ghost town.

I'm gonna guess that "the news" came from the fact that you missed a lot of practice, and even your head coach was saying he hoped you'd be playing this fall.

His head coach said he hoped he's be playing game 1.....not "this fall".
