What did we learn? OSU edition.

I learned our supposed strength on defense is our worst unit. The secondary was atrocious.

It's one thing to give up a lot of yards, but OSU receivers often had no Husker within 5 yards of them.

I also think Nebraska can be an improved team and go 2-6 this season.

This is what I am talking about..a coach who cannot adjust his scheme to his personnel is not a coach, they are "specialists"
I tend to agree. We're not uber talented - but at the same time we have the most talent of any team in the west. If we're waiting to have the personnel of Ohio St or Bama, we will be waiting awhile. We're gonna have to make this type of roster work, because this is the type of roster Frost has shown he can put together.

The biggest issue Chin’s D had the first 2 years was stopping the run. I think that was mainly due to having undersized d-linemen and average/bad LB’s. The d-line is getting the size which Chin wants to compete in the Big Ten, and I think the LB talent is improving.  Let’s see what happens the rest of this year.

I'm really interested in the next 3 game i think they'll tell us how good or bad chin's defense is this year. If Nebraska's strategy against teams is to have the defensive backs so far away you are letting the receivers catch it and then hoping for a big hit to jar it loose then we'll probably see what we saw today all season a lot of completions and safeties getting ejected.

I don't think you're wrong here either. Like what we're working with on the front 7. Hope the defense can show us something the next few weeks.

There are people who b!^@h about Saban after Alabama games. There are people who b!^@h about Dabo after Clemson games.

When you realize a lot of that comes from inside, it explains a lot.

I think Day meant well, but he really shouldn’t have anything, because is reads freekn horrible.
Yeah I think he realized Frost and Nebraska were OSU allies all offseason and maybe he should of called off the dogs. But damn, the apology reads like a kid standing in front of the rest of the school apologizing for pulling another kids whitey tighties over his face.

I learned (OK, I already knew) there is no consistency in the targeting call.

That one looks pretty clean to me. I'd like to see a moment before, but when the defender is that low? I mean his helmet is basically level with the ref's crotch! Obviously it was helmet-to-helmet, but that's not automatically targeting.
