I disagree. Bret Bielema is a very good coach and he will disrupt the BiG West. I, for one, feel that Illinois will be much better with him at the helm. He consistently outcoached anyone at Nebraska and he knows the landscape at the BiG conference. Just wait and see. Illinois won the jackpot with this hire.

Not saying he is bad, just not scared of facing his teams. He did great things at Wisconsin. He always seems to get in his own way. Have listened to him a few times at clinics. Not a fan.  This is same guy this board made fun of whenever his named appeared during  our numerous coaching searches.

Just doesnt move my needle, but probably the best Illinois could do.

Thought he bounced around the NFL after Arkansas.  

I think he will improve Illinois.  Dude knows the B1G and the footprint.

Gonna take a long while to establish what he had at Wisky. He benefited from previous coaches at Wisconsin and just kept it going. Tanked at Arkansas. Seems like this is gonna be a meh hire where he’s not gonna be able to get over the transitional hump.
