Lubick to leave?

So you switch some things around but biggest change is you move from a full-time QB coach to a full-time ST coach.

If someone else voluntarily leaves and he still sticks with an analyst for ST....that would be disappointing.  In that second scenario though, where is Verduzco going?  He isn't getting canned, that's clear.

 
If Lubick leaves there is even more reason to replace Mario with a qb-coach/OC. One of those is much easier to find than an experienced wr-coach/OC, and it's not like Mario is very good anyway. I'd try to hire Helfrich. Could look for a wr-coach that is good with ST's.

Frost said Lubick has been calling some plays all season and only in the last 2 games did they split the play calling 50/50.  Offensively we've taken a step back this season especially when it comes to play calling besides losing several key players including the face of our offense as well as a four star recruit who all straight up left the program at the WR position.  I wouldn't lose sleep if he decided to also go elsewhere.

Rather than seeking prior coaches from the Oregon tree of 10 years ago, how would the group feel about a surprise hire such as Tom Herman for OC?  He has quite a bit of pedigree in offensive gameplanning / playcalling and would bring a fresh perspective to our offense.

Just because his HC situation did not work at Texas (which is a graveyard for many) does not necessarily mean he would not be an excellent assistant (former Broyles Award Winner).

Think Steve Sarkisian with this approach.

I see Herman going to a G5 (UCF probably) or taking an OC at a top tier program (could honestly see him replacing the guy who replaced him)
