As entertaining as it might be to hear your version of; A) how I don’t adhere to the teachings of Christ (which, gasp, is unfortunately sometimes true), B) where you think I am “really” coming from and how/when I’ll “come clean” (from something.?.?.?) and C) the way I’ve “always been”, well, your tainted, distorted and limited vision of these things just really doesn’t matter to me. BTW, which teachings of Christ do you adhere to? Oh, that’s right, my bad. Christ and God mean no more and no less to you than the spaghetti monster or Zeus or Odin or a whole bunch of others you are so proud and eager to name, except when you use Christ or God as the measure to judge other people (which you do exceedingly too much of imo).

This could have easily been de-escalated if you had genuinely apologized for the generalization, as many of the posters have already acknowledged the hypocrisy of Christians promoting rightwing doctrines in multiple threads. Christians who promote the actual teachings of Christ are numerous, and they have every right to correct a sweeping condemnation. Which they did. Politely. 

Also, the focus wasn't on you. You did that yourself by digging in your heels at the slightest challenge. It's a thing you do.

It's fun to pile on, and you've expressed your lack of affinity towards me a few times. It's a thing you do.

It's also in character to ignore things that are inconvenient to your argument. Another thing you do. Like the fact that, while I disagreed with the initial take on my post, I also asked how it could be rephrased. Politely.

Guns weren’t blazing when I came in here. And the only Christian shirt I have is an old T-shirt (ourapostle....a play on Aeropostale) that I haven’t worn in years. No, the reason I came in here and nominated you to the DBHOF is because your ridiculous generalization of “y’all Christians” was the item that finally tripped the limit, once again, on my factory certified Knapp’s Absurd Bullsh#t meter. See, when you get too many of these incredibly outrageous takes on things going, I have this thing that tells me you need to be made aware of how foolish you are acting. Of course it never does any good because invariably you double down on the stupid bullsh#t and then try to move the goalposts as you did once again. Maybe it’s my fault. The hissy you threw over the Kung Flu thing probably should’ve been enough but I have the limit set higher than, out of necessity, on my KAB meter. So it took yet another blanket statement about all Christians to sound the alarm once again.

If your prior responses are what you consider “taking me to task”.....I......I.....I don’t know how to respond. All I saw was more of that thing you do when everyone except you can see exactly what the real problem is. But please, whenever you feel it is appropriate, please go ahead and take me to task   :lol:

So, for clarification on your view of the Bible and the teachings of Jesus, it is a worthwhile collection of books or, as you’ve claimed before, just a regurgitation of other similar myths and not to be taken seriously? Do you even place any value on the teachings of a person who, according to you, is nothing special and who is mistakenly represented in the Bible?

Tell me, why in the holy hell would a person place any value in your contribution to such an endeavor? Because you know it so well yet don’t buy into any of it? I already know how much good it did you and your lack of success in truly understanding it.
