Site Issues

Whats up guys, I hope someone knows whats going on. My issue:

Since I was given Mod privileges, when I go into a thread and then go back into the index using my browser, the thread links then become dead. To get it to work I must either refresh the page or for some reason when I right-click anywhere, then click the thread link, it works. I'm using Firefox 2. I hope someone knows why its doing this.

Note: It works fine in explorer, but I refuse to use that craptastic piece of software.

Just to be clear - you were using the same version of Firefox before being made a mod, and it worked fine then?

One thing we can do as a test is to remove your mod status temporarily, let you browse with that way, and see if the problem persists. If so, I would have to believe it is some kind of update to Firefox that "broke" the browser.

Have you noticed it happening on any other sites?

No, It was fine before and FF has not been updated and I have not found any other sites that it does this on.

I would like to see the way the source code looks, to see how it's reacting, that will tell us if its a browser problem or a board problem.

Do this: Recreate the error and have the page open where you see the broken link. With that page open click CTRL-U, you will see a new window open with a bunch of HTML, do a File > Save Page As, save it somewhere and email that file to admin@huskerboard.com so Frank and I can look at it.

Also, let us know which link is broken on the page you were viewing, so we know what to look for in the code.

Well I've done some further testing and when I browse the board when I am not logged in the issue is no longer present, unfortunately it comes back when I log in.

OK, I think I may have found the issue. I use a FF extension called MouseGestures that helps to make browsing faster (ie. right-click + left-click = back, left-click + right-click = forward) Apparently there is some sort of conflict between this extension and the site when I am logged in.
