Hawaii was a little lame and so was Seattle.
I really liked Seattle and Boston. Austin, too.
I was a bigger fan of the Real World/Road Rules Challenge; I still watch that from time to time.

-> Masks are not the deterrent people believe they are. Most Americans probably still think the paper mask will prevent contracting Covid alone, or at least as many that think it does nothing which isn't true either. But the mask by itself is not as preventative as people want it to be, it just isn't. And the case numbers, if you trust those, verify that. The GOP should've played along regardless of their beliefs, same with Mail in Voting. Hurt them in long run.
-> Double Mask, Triple Mask, Gloves, and other false security blanket ideas playing into fear. The Dems are just as good at fear mongering, actually better in a lot of instances. We are seeing it now with the standard expected mutation of Covid, but we slapped a scary new name on it and now we're going to freak out forever I guess. We knew in March of 2020 that any vaccine developed wouldn't prevent new mutated strains, yet here we are losing our minds over it. The tribalism over masks and vax is scary.
Politicization of this whole pandemic has been utterly devastating for our country, not just because of lives lost but because of the further division it instilled. Downplaying it was just as dangerous as turning people into shut in Karen's. All in the name of what? An election. f#&%ing disgusting.
This should really be in the actual Covid thread in P&R...more people need to read it
It wasn’t a threat though as he so righteously pointed out….before he made the threat. Somehow I think we’d get along without him. Pretty sure douche and canoe were first used in a phrase together specifically for him.
DevoHusker said:No, it is you that seems completely incapable of admitting you are wrong in our exchange on abortion. Thanks for admitting it...finally.

Yes, you are wrong and a douche. The perfect combo. Congrats and well done! What was I wrong about?
I referenced the percentage of people who answered their thoughts on abortion in general, both a majority. Then archy comes in saying that no a majority of people don't think abortion should be legal in most cases because a minority thinks it should be in later trimesters. I acknowledge the minority position in later trimesters, but still point out that those same people majority think abortion should be legal in most cases, because that's how they f#&%ing answered the question. Then y'all say I'm wrong, but wrong about what? That the survey questions asking if people think abortion should be legal in general don't have the percentages that they have, visible and graphed?
I love how people convinced that masks and vaccines don't work believe they've come to these conclusions through independent thinking.
It shouldn’t be a debate. It’s so obvious people should just do it. This shouldn’t even need to be discussed. I could give a f#&% what Trump or Biden or Hannity or CNN or anybody else has to say about it. The science is clear. People who are vaccinated right now are not dying and not being hospitalized. 99.5% of those statistics belong to the unvaccinated. Story over. Case closed. IDGAF about the political aspects. It's impossible to ignore the politics of Covid, and nobody should. Everyone should see the whole thing with a clean conscious.
And I would say the danger is for one's self not really for anyone else if they have yet to get vaxxed. You can spread it if you're vaxxed in some cases, you can contract it if your vaxxed in rarer cases. So you're really only endangering yourself catching it. Or are we not listening to THOSE stats? This is why I can't ignore the politics, statistics. Data gets manipulated to push narratives and fear monger. I find it sad and gross.
And we're getting back to the point where even those vaxxed are encouraged to wear masks still, because why? Because they can still pass it on to someone else. So effectiveness or not, this is our future until the mutation gets manageable or the politics subside, maybe both.
Edit- I'm sorry, but "Ignore the details and do everything the government tells you to do" is not a smart way to live life but I'm not one to judge either. I'd take the Blue pill too if Morpheus offered that or the Red.
