Maybe, but by the 1971 Game of the Century the uniforms had been modernized and weren't terribly different than the current uniforms. The older uni's with the NU and script style numbers date back to the 60's.

That matches up with what The Maudfather posted earlier about what Best of Big Red was selling.

If that's the case, I'm cool with it. Don't love it, but as always the key thing to a good alternate (even if it's a bad concept) is subtlety. As long as it isn't loud and gaudy and superfluous I'm pretty easy to please and excited to see it.
