Where do you think we would be right now?

I say 5-1 with a very close loss to USC. I am positive the talent is there, but they do not have confidence in the coaching staff, and have given up.

 
Most of the players on this team wouldn't have come here.

If you ask me TO saw the writing on the wall and quit so he wouldn't have to mess with the scholarship limits, non partial qualifiying kids, and cough, cough the Big 12. (I'm sure I'll take some heat for this)

How about if TO would have let $ Bill hire who he wanted to what would the state of the program be? Ask yourself that.

Jesus H. Christ thank you for saying that. TO is not god despite what others may think. (and I'll get killed for saying that) IMO this mess is his fault

Reminds me of the K-State fan the year after telling me in a bar in Lincoln the reason TO quit because he was afraid of Bill Synder.

Were you saying that in 1999 when Solich had NU finishing number two in the nation?

Are you saying thsi because of his retiring or him calling his shot for naming Frank?

He probably deserved to call his shot - and I respect that he didn't want new blood because his assistants would be out of a job. He was a big believer in that jobs shouldn't be lost simply because he wanted to retire.

Frank was 2nd in command - and had been for awhile AND wasn't going to shake up the staff.

Yes, yes I was. I was very disappointed when TO said that Frankie was taking over the keys to the program. Sorry unlike a lot of Husker fans I realize that TO is a just a man and don't worship the ground he walks on and am not affraid to question the things that he did. This downhill slide started long before this season and before Callahan and company got here.

Also if I'm not mistaken TO played a MAJOR part in bringing Pud back to NU.

Until things got bad and then he started forcing(firing) people to retire because of his short(play on words) comings as a Head Coach. The irony in not wanting to bring someone from outside the program due to coaching losing their jobs. <_<
