Bottom line: Ohio State is not physical against the run this year. That is currently their biggest problem IMO.
There were glimpses of this in their game against Minnesota and then Oregon embarrassed them with excellent edge blocking on outside zone runs on Saturday.
We'll see if it remains a constant. Never count out a Ryan Day coached team at least at this point. They have a lay up next.
Very true. That doesn't seem to help us at all. With the exception of the rare option play, NU doesn't seem interested in running outside very much this season. The high majority of our run plays are inside zone. While we are committed to running inside and not much running play action off these numerous inside runs, we dont seem to do that particularly well either.Bottom line: Ohio State is not physical against the run this year. They need to implode just before their game with Nebraska - we need all of the help we can get.Yep, the is exactly the same situation. Obviously Day didn't know anything about this until now.
