He's put the URL into his signature.

After looking at it, I don't think we would have a problem with it - it appears to be a general discussion board with an emphasis on music. No real Husker connection at all. I think we can leave it, personally.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

According to our rules we should remove it because it's a non-husker related site and it wasn't authorized.

Links to non-Husker related sites are not permitted unless authorized by the board Moderators.

But in the end it could take traffic away from Huskerboard. I say keep it out. There will be some exceptions, we'll just keep discussing it till we get it black and white.

 
Addict, I think you made a good gut instinct call. As eric said any other form of a discussion site can potentially siphon traffic, so forget it. his mention that it isnt husker related is just his attempt to get it under our radar, but we have sevrel forums that are non-skers that we want people to use for that type of stuff. For now we'll let him leave that hideous link in his sig, b/c i think he's been a decent member, and who the hell promotes an IP addrss for a domain anyway. but for him to start a topic just to promote his board is unacceptable. i know its gray, but it will iron itself out eventually.
