That slo-mo end zone angle made it look like the ball got pushed away from Toure by the wind about 12 feet above his head. He short-armed it because he expected it to drop right in his hands. Instead he had to reach at the last second and didn't adjust.

Looked like he lost it in the sun and sputtered his stride a little bit
He'd have the sun kinda of hitting the side of his face but not enough to be a problem, that ball was coming out of the shadows.

If they were going the other way and the ball was thrown towards the northeast corner, than the sun is an issue for him

I would say on that missed pass to Touré, both he & Martinez are to blame.

  1. When a receiver is that wide open it is the QB's responsibility to put the ball on the receiver. The biggest issue for Martinez during his entire career has been his accuracy. He either under throws guys (see the pick six from this game) or he over shoots them (see every missed pass to our huge TE's this year)
  2. For Touré when you're that wide open you can't try to catch and run. You need to go all out, and LAY-OUT for the football.

Either way, big missed opportunity for Nebraska at the end of the half.

Do you guys think that viral Facebook post a few years ago of the dress was blue or gold?
