New Staff Selection

"I can say there has been progress..." in coaching searches. Also notes that progress can be altered by all the job changing in college football right now. "But I can say that I've met with Scott, we'll be meeting tomorrow morning, I think he has a good plan. - Trev

Sounds like our Asst. coach search is at the mercy of the other job openings.

I'd hesitate reading too much into anything that there hasn't been an announcement. Discussions could've been going on for some time with offensive coordinators. All the filled positions will likely be announced all together at once.

No

OC/Qb

WR

Te

OL

RB

thats still too many
OC/QB Korn

WR/TE Beckton (he coached these groups previously, was impressed with TE’s)WR needs help

OL-Garrison- Have seen his named thrown around on here.  Or Ed Warriner

ST-Bill Busch- Also had our safeties playing at. A high level under Cally can assist defensive side of the ball

RB-Ron Brown

Beckton, Brown and Busch already on staff.  Lame duck coach, no worries

Korn- High risk, high reward.  Leave a gig to risk 1 year here.  BUT if you succeed , as a disciple of Chadwell, you prove that scheme can bang in the B1G.  Pave the way if Frost gets canned for better long term position. Also silences the “he’s not the OC talk at CC”. Proves he can make the scheme him.

Garrison.  Allure to come back

Boom. If someone has Davison’s email, send it.  No charge.

2022 scheduling changes in the works?
Due to scheduling changes in the COVID year of 2020, NU was to play at Purdue and hosted Wisconsin in back-to-back years.  Of course, the Wisky game wasn't played due to their COVID outbreak the week before the game.  In 2021, the division schedules just switched home and away, but Wisconsin and Purdue rotation were supposed to switch back to the pre-2020 schedule in 2022. However, NU would prefer to keep the split of Iowa and Wisconsin being on opposite home/away schedules each year.

That is a good move.
