New Offensive Coordinator options?

Leaning more towards Morris.  He coaches in the Texas State title game tonight(you know that thing that is a pretty huge deal in that state) and probably asked for an announcement to wait until afterwards to not distract his team.  Added bonus, his kid comes as well and you more than likely have your starting QB next year.

Texas HS finals aren't for 2 more weeks.  Today is the quarterfinals.

Edit - Allen is currently down 20 at the start of the 4Q.  Looks like Morris will be available tomorrow.

Isn't his son at TCU?

Great find.  And very accurate assessment.  Whipple or Ruggiero would be great hires.  The others?  Looking like a loss by one score or less.
Lincoln Riley’s background was as an air raid coach originally, played at TT under Leach and started his coaching career there under Leach as well. He created a more balanced scheme under Stoops as the OC, I am guessing because Stoops made sure the run would be heavily involved in the scheme. Harrell could be similar under SF and find a way to blend in a robust running attack with his air raid passing concepts.

Based on what just happened, at this point I think Baylor would match any offer we made.
There have been reports that Baylor admin have put spending freezes on the athletic department. They took a hit during COVID and also are expecting conference revenue to drop significantly after OU and Texas leave. Staying in the Big XII may not be that appealing to Grimes despite Baylor being Conference champs.

We just hired Joseph as the passing game coordinator but we're going to hire Harrell too? How much sense would that make?

USC fans wanted Harrell gone as the air raid offense fizzled. Lets pray its not Harrell.

Quite a few schools have gone to giving out lots of titles now.  Clemson, for one, has both an OC and a PGC.  Oregon, Florida and UCLA are other examples.

It literally has nothing to do with who we would hire as OC.

You'd think the OC would have more to do with the run game, and have input from the PGC. Otherwise why bother with the title.

Yeah I know about Greg Austin as RGC last year.  Sigh.

Peetz is still in play as well - would explain why Mickey Joseph was willing to come without the OC being named. Unlikely that he'll be retained by Kelly. Played for the Huskers.
