OT should be 4 mins. 5 mins is already really long (I'd consider 2 mins tbh) and 4 mins fits naturally with the TV timeout schedule the rest of the game.

Why in the world was he playing the last 37 seconds? We needed free throw shooters in and he had only shot ten all year. Plus he’s not a ball handler. So he gets fouled and craps the bed on both shots. Make both and we win. Make even one and there’s a good chance we win.

He is shooting 31% from field & 23% from 3 and plays very little D and can't rebound.

And he actually held on to the ball when he was trapped, because he wanted to be the one to shoot the free throws; if he passes out of the trap, I like our chances with some other shooters at the line (although McGowan did keep us from winning the North Carolina State game in the same situation)

I was there.  Not only we needed half the bench to tell Mayen to go play defense after his dunk and posing for pictures We had a wide open guy down the court for an easy lay-up game over....if you are going to be the guy who holds onto the ball, at least make those free throws.  I come from an old school coach who always believed to get rid of the ball in. a full court/trap situation.  I think I am part of the minority esp when I watch other games or still play in my basketball league.
