We thought the same thing last year and then got beaten by Illinois and their backup QB. Some fans need to realize that there are no “relatively easy wins” anymore. I’m sure fans of other teams look at their schedule and consider Nebraska a “relatively easy win,”

What reality is this?

I'm not trying to be a debbie downer, but statements like that are crazy.  We haven't won more than 3 conference games since 2016, yet 4 conference games this year are "relatively easy wins"?
Last year the over under was 6.  Compare the two schedules.  This year will be set at a minimum of 6.5.  that's reality.  Nobody has a clue what the actual win totals will be... It's all a guess obviously.  On paper, Nebraska should win 7+ games.  I personally believe it happens this year simply because it's extremely rare for a team to continue underperforming for so long.  Eventually all teams statistically balance.  Why not this year for Nebraska?

That's not how statistics work.  Yes, over time things tend to average out, you won't continue to flip "tails" indefinitely.

But once you have flipped tails 4 times, the statistical probability of a fifth is completely inpependent of the previous 4.  Taken independently, the next flip has the same probability as the previous 4,  (unless the actions Trev made the HC take, change the probability of the coin).

And our coin seems heavily weighted towards "tails" for the last 4 years.

Just January through June.  I couldn't stand any longer than that lol.  To be clear, our wager is on the Vegas over under, not the actual win total.
Correct, Vegas over under.  You have 7.5 and I have 6.5.  I will give you 7, so 7+ you win, 6.5 or less and I win.
