Those No Longer With Us

Speaking of Kade Warner, turns out his younger brother EJ Warner is Temple's starting QB.

He's there because he met Danny Langsdorf when he was recruiting Kade, and they developed a relationship. When Langs was hired at Temple, EJ went there, and has earned the starting QB position.

Small world.

So. Funny story.

Late in the fourth quarter, KSU has the ball tied 10-10 with Tulane. They need to pick up 4th and 1 to keep the drive alive. Adrian takes a shotgun snap, they run Option, Adrian fails to pitch and is tackled for a loss.

Turnover on downs.

Tulane takes the ball and drives, scoring a TD.

Adrian is about to get the ball back with a little over four minutes and needing a touchdown to tie Tulane.

You guys aren't going to believe this. KSU goes three-and-out. Loses yardage on the drive. Short run by Deuce Vaughn, Adrian overthrows Warner, and a shovel pass is blown up in the backfield.

Wildcats punt.

And Tulane wins.

There's something bizarre about this universe where Adrian constantly gets the ball, late in the game, needing to score to tie or take the lead.

And he fails. Over and over and over.

It's bizarre. Yet here we are.

Up next, Oklahoma. In Norman.

Godspeed, Adrian.
