I think Johnson might be dealing with injuries, but wouldn't shock me. If it has just been an injury Johnson is poised to contribute, WR and RB are getting thinner. The LJS story with Garcia-Castaneda claims no one else is expected to enter:

Another nugget from the LJS story, Thompson didn't even know he was in on his TD catch and thought he was throwing it to Alante Brown. Think he just got passed up, which is a shame because he did make a couple plays.

I haven't heard any specifics but it sounds like there was something along those lines and it didn't go over well.

That is what I'm hearing as well.  Not much NIL for him coming from NMS so when Alante beat him for the position he bailed to try to make some cash and to find a place he can start.

My understanding of the transfer rule is:

- Everyone gets 1 free transfer (you don't have to sit a year)

- A 2nd transfer meant you had to sit a year, unless you graduated then the 2nd transfer was free too

So he must be graduating or got bad advice or everyone assumes the NCAA will give waivers for 2nd transfers?

Also today is the last day for NU players to be able to officially enter the transfer portal until the end of the season (they have 30 days post coach firing to enter).
