Who should our next HC be?

It’s sounding like there isn’t a financial commitment for having a qualified coach and budget for assistants… (?)

All of the facilities in the world won’t compensate for not having an astute captain and crew to sail the thing.

Stewardship also requires investing in the personnel to effectively execute the mission.

We really don’t know for sure what’s going on. Time will tell.

I’d think that it’d take $7-8M, as much as $9M to secure a highly competent head coach and around a $7M budget for quality assistants.

The powers that be want us to continue purchasing tickets. They’d better make an investment for getting a product on the field we want to invest our time and money in. 
 

We have to be able to successfully recruit, develop and have a winning culture to go along with infrastructure.

There is no time to get to first base. We need the bases loaded and we’d better be stepping up to the plate.

Agree with this. Trying to be patient and not get worked up before the announcement. But if we flushed $7.5 million to get rid of Frost 2 weeks early and then we’re not prepared to secure top coaches and even made statements to the contrary and then lay an egg?  Wow, this had better not happen. Husker Nation has been punched in the gut one too many times and this would be the worst thing to happen. Billy C hiring would look like a homerun in comparison. You had 1 job…just like our games this is going down to the last second. We had better win big here.

The rumor includes a third coach and the mention of the football facility is attributable to Moos' stewardship, who was someone that very obviously had no problem spending plenty of cash. Really has nothing to do with Trev who came in when that was well under way.

But what if there is some truth that a border state coach does get hired? You think he can turn it around?
