Education

We're including the Bible in sexually explicit books that 11, wait no 9, wait no pre-K kids shouldn't have access to right?
There are higher imperatives to teach kids at those ages (you could've said pre-teens), whether from the Bible or public school curriculum.

Maybe take the grievance up with Site Staff for their perspective.

HuskerBoard.com Rules

#4 - No Porn or Strong Sexual Content
This includes links to adult web sites and/or posting content that may not be suitable for younger viewers.

"But, we're not talking about porn or strong sexual content."

But why differentiate "younger viewers" either way?   The strong makes it too much for them?

Or maybe because it serves zero value or purpose for pre-teens and should be worked through at home with their parents.

I didn't limit my statement to.sexually explicit content. The kids can go online and read anything and everything being pulled from the library. The kids are an excuse.
Fantastic feature when the pre-teens are pulling information relevant to their education and maturity.   As they grow, they're exposed to much more.  And, ideally, parents are locked in engaging them through the process.

This very site's COC rule #4 differentiates kids from certain content.

Flipping it, what is the root of your passion to have pre-teens/kids exposed to sexually explicit material condoned/missed by/championed/other by the public schooling system?

Nobody is passionate about providing kids with porn.

Most just reject the premise that this is actually an existing issue in schools whatsoever outside of highly anomalous one-off instances.

Some are taking the angle of what was presented isn't really that bad...

On the other side, no one is touting book burning party while kids are cocooned until the age of 40.

Flipping it, why is your mind fixated on sexually explicit material and children? I already said my statement was not confined to said content yet you continue to navigate the conversation in that direction.

You can go back multiple pages and see the dialogue progression.

You quoted and responded to me. I've posted twice. Anything said not by me, is not germane to your response to my post. Your response, redirected the conversation to children and explicit content after I specifically stated my comment was not limited to said content. Frankly, your continued attempts to link the two subjects and redirect every response back to those two subjects is disturbing.

My response to you was/is consistent as my response to the collective here.  We're in an education thread, and I posted videos of the education system failing young children.

Sexually explicit material to pre-teens is pure filth.  Disgusting.

Your contribution: "Why do you keep connecting the two?  You're good with this?"

That's your cut?

Edit:  It's not worth it.  Just sad.

Let me tee up your 3rd post:

Give me a one sentence statement about what you think I believe about the subject.  Put passion into it and consider, or not, my tens+ of prior position statement in this thread.

Make it a charm.

I've asked you, you might need to ask yourself.

"Flipping it, why is your mind fixated on sexually explicit material and children?"

"Put passion into it and consider, or not, my tens+ of prior position statement in this thread."
