2023 B1G Tournament

I don’t follow baseball, I don’t like baseball.

But it seems like all conversations I’ve heard is how terrible the team is doing.  I figured they missed the tournament, but they are a 4 seed!?!

Were people over reacting, or did the guys go on a run?

Not so much "people".  More "person".
Sports radio stations in Omaha were doing full segments on if Bolt is the right guy.  More than one person at work (all “baseball guys”) talked about how disappointing the season was.

Sorry for asking…

…and congrats to the Huskers for a good season.

Yes, there's loads of talk about Bolt. I am overly critical of not just Bolt but every men's revenue sport in the athletic department. Fans are seeing Bolt grow as a manager some which brings hope. He finally started playing to win by manufacturing runs instead of living on the long ball. My hope is, this continues to be seen this to end the season. (Maybe the Childress affect?)

As for a comparison between the men's & women's seasonal successes (fall, winter, spring sports) it's no even close. The Lady Huskers are winners. Volleyball (post season play), Basketball (post season play), Softball (post season play)... The men however Football (can't make a bowl game), Basketball (can't make the nit let alone win a game in March madness) bringing us to baseball. Sure, we played in the post season 2 years ago but once every 4 years is not acceptable. The men's department in it's current condition with all the amenities the fans continue to pay for remains a disgrace.

Seriously,  the Ladies programs are carrying the entire weight of the husker brand as these selfish men rake in the profits while performing subpar. The fans deserve more. So too does the conference. Our men's programs are the laughing stock of the B1G. That's the truth and has been the truth for years! Heck, we can't even beat the worst team in the B1G on a neutral field in football.

@Mavric being over critical isn't a bad thing when the critique is accurate and honest. Everything I've said is accurate and true. Nebraska's B1G opponents mostly mock them and for good reason. Time for the huskers to put up or shut up. Especially in football but also basketball and baseball!!!
